Amid rumours of a dressing room bust-up with Craig Shakespeare, assistant manager, social networking sites were earlier abuzz with news of Pearson's demise. However, sources close to the club insist that Pearson remains in charge and there are no issues within the City camp, whilst the hashtag #maduplcfcrumours has since started trending on Twitter.
Meanwhile, a bemused Neil Danns has taken to the social networking site to express his puzzlement at the rumours.
"Someone care to enlighten me on me having a bust up rumour," he tweeted, "First I've heard an [sic] I can assure you it's not true, night tweeps #dreamwell."
