Foxes seal Delfouneso loan deal

Loan deal: Nathan Delfouneso
Leicester City have captured Nathan Delfouneso on loan from Aston Villa for a month, according to media reports.

The six-feet-tall striker has also been utilised as a winger and will strengthen Nigel Pearson's options in attack. He has netted three times in 25 appearances for the Villains and scored once on loan with Burnley, for whom he played 11 games.

Delfouneso is yet to make his mark at senior international level but has consistently appeared for England at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels. His attempts to break into Alex McLeish's Villa side have been limited this season and he joins the Foxes seeking regular first-team football.

Delfouneso is Leicester's second acquisition of the January transfer window and will go straight into the squad to face Southampton at St Mary's tomorrow evening (KO 19:45).
