Foxes look to United to boost ailing squad

Leicester City will look to Manchester United in a bid to boost their ailing squad, with two loan deals with the Red Devils set to be finalised within the next twenty-four hours.

Teenage defender Michael Keane gained his first United start against Newcastle United in the League Cup in September and has made five appearances for the England under-19s. A full-back or centre half, Keane would add much-needed depth to Nigel Pearson's defence, who are without Sean St Ledger through injury and Zak Whitbread, suspended following his sending-off against Watford at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard in yet to make a senior appearance for United. The attacking midfielder, also nineteen, was born in Warrington and is seeking his first loan deal to gain first team experience.

Pearson will hope to complete the deals to allow both players to meet-up with the City squad for their visit to Bolton Wanderers tomorrow night. City face the Trotters at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday (KO 20:00) and will be hoping to avoid their third successive defeat.
